A Minnesota driver who is a citizen of Red Lake Nation was ticketed recently for speeding and driving with “fake plates” in Georgia. “Johnathon Carlson, a Red Lake Nation member, was driving home after a family vacation in Florida when he was pulled over on the interstate. … Carlson’s license plates are issued by Red Lake Nation, a tribal nation in the northwest corner of the state,” according to MPR News.
