When Lawrence retired, for several years, they traveled during the winter. They started to spend time in Mesa, first in a motor home, and then in a home they had built in a retirement ghetto, Leisure World. When Lawrence died, my sister moved Evelyn to an assisted care facility in Fargo, ND. As she forgot the world, its people, and all of us, I think she was happy. All that she may have regretted, all past debts, all broken promises and all missed dreams she also forgot. That, and language and speech.
